(New Delhi, 10 September 2026): Bhutan is entering a new phase of tourism development with a renewed focus on strengthening its key source markets and promoting the country as a high-value, low-volume, and year-round regenerative tourism destination. The Department of Tourism, Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Employment, Bhutan, has appointed BlinkBrand Solutions as its official Public Relations and Sales Representative for India and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.

India remains Bhutan’s largest and strategically important tourism market, supported by strong historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties, along with direct air connectivity and multiple land-border crossings. The partnership will focus on deepening Bhutan’s engagement with Indian travelers while expanding awareness among high-value traveler segments across MENA.

Aligned with the Bhutan Integrated Tourism Master Plan 2025–2034, the mandate will promote tourism that delivers long-term value to local communities, culture, the economy, and the environment. Rather than focusing solely on visitor numbers, the initiative will encourage longer stays, meaningful experiences, and greater geographic and seasonal distribution of tourism benefits.

BlinkBrand will leverage its capabilities across public relations, destination marketing, travel trade engagement, media relations, consumer outreach, influencer marketing, and experiential activations. The partnership will also showcase Bhutan beyond conventional itineraries, highlighting its diverse offerings across wellness and spirituality, culture, nature and adventure, luxury, family travel, MICE, destination weddings, and slow, immersive travel.

For Indian travellers, Bhutan’s proximity, cultural affinity, and ease of access further strengthen its appeal. Indian nationals do not require a visa to visit Bhutan but need an entry permit, making the Himalayan destination particularly accessible for the Indian market.
